The ovarian follicle is a cellular aggregation in female reproductive system. It consists of theca extern, theca interne, ovum which is surrounded by membrane granulosa. It has a cavity within it which is called as antrum. It also has the cluster of cells surrounding the ovum. Oocytes before and after ovulation are surrounded by cumulus granulosa. It gives support to the oocyte and provides maturation to them.
