Solution

The waste products of respiration are carbon dioxide and water. In cellular respiration, a glucose molecule is completely oxidized to CO2 and H2O, and energy is generated in the form of ATP. Oxygen is utilized in the process. Oxygen gas is required in the process of respiration.

C6H12O6 (Glucose) + 6O2 → 6CO2 + 6H2O + energy glucose + oxygen → carbon dioxide + water + energy.

Concluding Statement: In the process of respiration carbon dioxide is produced as a waste product.
