Thus, $\angle ADB=\angle ADC=x$ (By cpct)
$\angle ADB+\angle ADC=180$ (Angles on a straight line)
$x+x=180$
$x=90$
$\angle ADB=\angle ADC={90}^{\circ }$
or, AD is perpendicular to BC
