Question

In what way does DNA provide the code of life?

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

The DNA provides for the code of life in a way it guides cells what their function is. The hierarchy follows, cells make up the organ and the organ forms the organ system. The code is embedded in the forms of A T G C where the Adenine pairs with Thymine and Guanine pairs with Cytosine. DNA then gives rise to mRNA or messenger RNA by the process of transcription. This mRNA further synthesizes proteins by the process of translation. This whole cycle of events is also known as central dogma.
