In what ways does sexual reproduction differ from asexual one? State atleast three reasons.

  1. Sexual reproduction requires the involvement of two parents while asexual reproduction involves only one parent.
  2. Sexual reproduction takes a few to several months time to produce offspring. While, asexual reproduction needs very short time period compared to sexual reproduction.
  3. Fusion of gametes leads to new characters formation in sexual reproduction. while in asexual reproduction no gamete are fused and offsprings are similar to the parent i.e. no new characters are formed.
