In young experiment if two straight narrow parallel slits 3 mm apart are illuminated with monochromatic light of wavelength 5900 x 10 (raise to power minus 8)cm. Fringes are observed at a distance of 3m from slits. Find width of fringes??

Here in this case ,
the width of the fringes is ,
$\beta =\frac{\lambda D}{d}=\frac{5900\times {10}^{-8}\times 300}{3\times {10}^{-1}}=5.9\times {10}^{-3}cm$
