Behavioural changes in a person who is addcted to alcohol are:
  • Withdrawal, isolation and depression
  • Aggressiveness and rebellious behavious
  • Deteriorating realtionships with friends and family
  • Loss of interest in hobbies
  • Altered sleeping and eating patterns
  • Fluctuations in weight
  • Mental and financial distress
Measure to overcome

Measures that can be taken to overcome the problem are:
  • Acceptance: The person must accept that he/she/ they have a problem so that appropriate medical intervention can be done.
  • Counseling: The person must be counselled so that the root cause of the problem can be found out.
  • Family and friends support: This is very essential as the person would require a support group to slowly come out of the addiction.
