Inspite of such a huge coastline , India is not harnessing the energy source ocean thermal energy. Why?

1. Its is not true that India is not harnessing its ocean energy despite having a large coastline.
2. Many coastal regions in our country utilise the energy from oceans,by converting it to electrical energy.
3. As India is a developing country so there is requirement to first develop some very important sectors having more priority.
4. Also,deriving energy from ocean involves a huge plant having very expensive machinery and set ups and in todays financial situation,our country is utilising money for those things which are of higher necessity like food and clean water.
