Fatty acids not synthesized by human body are essential fatty acids like linoleic, linolenic & arachidonic acids. These need to be included in the diet. Fatty acids that can be synthesized by the human body are non essential fatty acids and these include palmitic acid, stearic acid etc. Cholesterol though not a fatty acid can also synthesized by the body and glycerol molecule is a constituent of a triglyceride, it is not a fatty acid.
