Bacillus subtilis is a rod-shaped gram-positive bacteria. It may be found in the gastrointestinal tracts of humans and ruminants, as well as in soil.
It generates endospore, which makes it resistant to harsh environments.
Bacillus subtilis, often known as hay bacillus, is a member of the genus subtilis that can break down plant polysaccharides and pectin.
They are little and rod-shaped hay bacteria. Bacillus subtilis can divide by binary fission to produce two daughter cells or asymmetrically to produce a single endospore.
