Solution
Homeotherms:
Homeotherms are organisms that maintain their body temperature under the influence of variable environmental conditions.
They do so by metabolic activities, sweating, shivering, etc.
They are also called warm-blooded organisms.
Mammals, birds, and amphibians are examples of homeotherms.
Crocodiles:
Poikilotherms are organisms that cannot maintain their internal body temperature.
They can survive within a wide range of internal body temperatures.
They adapt to environmental conditions through behavioral changes such as basking and burrowing.
Example - reptiles, fishes.
Crocodiles are cold-blooded animals or poikilotherms.
They are the only reptiles that have a four-chambered heart.
