Question

is it true that friction produces heat right ,but then why when the rain is falling the droplets are cool though fluid friction is acting on it

Solution

Dear Student,
When a rain droplets fall from a certain altitude initially its temperature is very low then as the temperature decreases with increased altitude .Now as the rain droplet fall it feels the friction due to the resistance of air and this resistive frictional force is very low in amount that the dissipation energy which is converted into heat energy does not increases the temperature of the rain drop significantly that we can usually feel .That is why the droplets of rain are seemed to be cool .
