Mercurous chloride- It is a triatomic molecule in which two chlorine atoms are coordinately bonded to mercury.
The chemical formula of mercurous chloride is ${Hg}_{2} {Cl}_{2}$
As we know that it is very dangerous for health the doctor prefers to not use this compound in medical treatment also.
In spite of being harmful, some Arab doctors had used it because of its water solubility.
Mercurous chloride is highly soluble in water and very harmful to health.
Hence, mercurous chloride is sparingly soluble in water.
