Question

Is NaCl dissociate in water due to polar structure of water

Open in App
Solution

because of the polarity of water, when many ionic compounds are in aqueous solutions they become dissociated into ions. For instance, when an ionic compound such as table salt (NaCl) is dissolved in water, it separates into Na+ and Cl- ions.
