Is oxidative phosphorylation the same as aerobic respiration?

Solution
Oxidative phosphorylation:
Oxidative phosphorylation is the process by which energy is transferred through a series of proteins embedded in the inner membrane of mitochondria to create ATP.
All aerobic organisms use oxidative phosphorylation to produce energy for the cell, i.e. ATP.
ATP synthesis is coupled with the transfer of electrons from NADH or FADH2 to O2 by a series of electron carriers.
It is the fourth step of aerobic respiration.
Hence, oxidation phosphorylation and aerobic respiration are not the same.
