Question

Is plasma a superconductor?

Open in App
Solution

Plasma

Plasma makes up the majority of your blood. It accounts for more than half of the overall content.

  1. Plasma is a pale yellow liquid that separates from the remainder of the blood.
  2. Plasma transports water, minerals, and enzymes throughout the body.

Superconductor

A superconductor is a substance that achieves superconductivity,

  1. It is a state of matter in which there is no electrical resistance and no magnetic forces may pass through it.
  2. In a superconductor, an electric current can last forever.

Even though plasma is a conductor, it is not a superconductor. Plasma has a resistance that is not zero, unlike superconductors.
