Question

Is prokaryote a plant or animal?

Open in App
Solution

Prokaryote and Eukaryote:

  1. Prokaryotic cells are characterized as cells that lack a well-defined nucleus and no membrane-bound organelles. Prokaryotes are organisms that have prokaryotic cells and are usually single-celled microbes.
  2. Bacterial cells, for example, are prokaryotic cells with a variety of forms and architectures and extrachromosomal DNA known as plasmids. Archaeal cells, which look like bacterial cells, can be found in severe conditions like hot springs, as well as soil and marsh.
  3. Eukaryotic cells contain membrane-bound organelles such as the Golgi apparatus and mitochondria, as well as chloroplasts, which can be found in algae and plants.
  4. Cells of both plants and animals contain membrane-bound organelle.
  5. Plant and animals are eukaryotes, not prokaryotes.
