Fossil fuel is mostly carbon and hydrogen. It is formed from the dead organism where many other elements get away through wind ,water, heat of earth and other factors and this remaining elements forms the fossil fuel .so

When burning fossil fuel,
Carbon burns with oxygen produce carbon dioxide and Hydrogen burns with oxygen to produce water vapor. Energy in the form of heat is released.
