Question

Is the salt found in our oceans acidic, basic or neutral salt?

Open in App
Solution

Water in oceans consists of numerous salts like NaCl, MgSO4, KCl, etc...
Many of these are neutral salts or basic salts. The amount of acidic salts in water in oceans is comparitatively very small.
So ocean water is predominantly basic in nature with a pH around 8.1
