Solution

Grafting clay in air layering:

  1. Air layering is a simple process that allows the vegetative propagation of plant while it’s still one plant.
  2. This method encourages the growth of adventitious roots from branches or shoots, eventually producing a viable plant that may be separated from the parent and transplanted elsewhere.
  3. Root promoting hormones are added as the ultimate aim is to induce growth.

Grafting wax in Grafting method:

  1. Grafting wax is a special type of wax that is used for sealing the cut edges of grafted plants.
  2. The wax seals the cut and prevents the graft cuts from drying out.
  3. The main aim is to join both the plant, so here root promoting hormones are generally not added.
