Solution

The correct option is C

12.2

Jack’s present age= 0.27 × His father’s present age

= 0.27 × 45

= 12.15 years

Since there is 5 at the second decimal place, the first decimal place will be rounded off to next number (because if a digit is 5 or greater than 5, then its preceding digit can be rounded off to the next integer) i.e. 1 will be rounded off to 2.

Thus, 12.15 can be rounded off to 12.2.
