Amount of pizza eaten by John
$=\frac{2}{3}$

Amount of pizza John gave to his sister
$=\frac{1}{6}$

So, amount of pizza left with John = One pizza - Amount of pizza eaten by John - Amount of pizza given to his sister

$=1-\frac{2}{3}-\frac{1}{6}=1-\frac{(4+1)}{6}=1-\frac{5}{6}$
$=\frac{1}{6}$
