Solution

The correct option is C

Sprinkler and Drip System

In sprinkler system of irrigation, the water is supplied through perpendicular pipes with nozzles connected to the main pipe of the water tank. When water is allowed to flow through the main pipe under pressure with the help of a pump, water gets sprinkled from nozzles like a rainfall. This is more useful on the uneven land. In the drip system, water is supplied at the position of roots drop by drop. As a result wastage of water is highly reduced. For this reason, the drip system is preferred for gardens.
