Let x be Jagdish's salary
According to the question; $\frac{x}{4} = 3600 \Rightarrow x = 14400$ pounds
Also, total expenses $= (0.3 + 0.4 + 0.25) x$
$= (0.95) x$
$∴$ Savings $= 0.05 x$ as (1-0.95)x=(0.05)x
$\Rightarrow 0.05 \times 14400 = 720$
