a. The soaps and detergents used in laundry contain phosphates which enhance the growth of algae in the water bodies which then compete for oxygen with other aquatic animals and ultimately lead to death. Hence boring laundry waste in water bodies leads to eutrophication.
b. This can be avoided by proper planning and using of phosphate-free detergents. the wastewater needs to be properly treated before releasing it off in the water bodies.
c. Awareness, scientific reasoning, concern for the environment, etc.
