(a) Explain why the fish were dying?
(b) If the factory waste is acidic in nature, how can it be neutralised?

(a) If waste from a factory flows into water bodies, it poses a threat to aquatic life and to anyone who uses or drinks that water. Acids present in waste from a factory killed the aquatic organisms.
(b) If the waste is acidic in nature, it can be neutralised by adding basic substances so that water in the pond can be neutralised.
