Solution
Leaves:
Leaves are the part of the plant that mainly has its role in the process of photosynthesis.
Leaves also play a vital role in the exchange of gases.
For the exchange of gases, a structure called stomata is present.
When the leaves get coated with vaseline, the stomata get blocked, and thus, the plants won't stay for a long time.
The plant will not get any carbon dioxide for photosynthesis due to the closed stomatal pore.
The process of transpiration is also get affected because of the closed stomatal pore due to the vaseline covering.
Conclusion:
When there is a vaseline coating on the leaves, the plants will not get sufficient carbon dioxide for photosynthesis, gaseous exchange will not take place, and there will be no transpiration.
Thus, the plants will not remain healthy for long.
