Let * be a binary operation on Z defined by a*b = a+2b . Find 2*(3*4)

Solution :- We have to find 2 * ( 3 * 4)

So In first step , we will find 3* 4

We are given a * b = a + 2b

= 3 + 2 * 4 ( because a= 3 , b = 4)

= 3 + 8 = > 11

Now , we will write 11 in place of 3 * 4

Therefore , we get 2 * 11

So = 2+2 * 11 ( a*b = a + 2b )
= 2+22

= 24 Answer.
