R = [(x, y) : x, y ∈ Z, y = 2x − 4]
(a, -2) and (4, b2) ∈ R

So, -2 = 2(a) -42= 2a a =1

Also, b2 = 24-4b2 =4b = ±2

Thus, a =1 and b = ±2
