Diffusion: Diffusion is a physical process that refers to the net movement of molecules from a region of high concentration to one of lower concentration.
Diffusion in liquids is slow as compared to gases:
The particles in the gases are more loosely packed than liquids.
The force of attraction between the particles in the liquids is more than in gases.
The particles of liquid have low kinetic energy than gases and therefore can not move freely.
Hence, diffusion in liquids is slow as compared to gases.
