Solution

Diffusion- Diffusion is defined as a movement of a substance from the region of higher concentration to the region of lower concentration so as to spread uniformly.

  • Diffusion occurs more quickly in gases than in liquids because the particles in a gas are far away from each other and move faster than the particles of a liquid.
  • Thus particles in gas possess higher kinetic energy and move at high speeds.
