  • Respiratory system starts with the nose.
  • The inhaled air enters our body through the nose, which has two tiny openings known as the nostril.
  • The air then reaches the nasal cavity, which has slimy mucus and a lining of hair, which traps the unwanted dust and foreign particles.
  • The air then passes through the common opening for food and air known as the pharynx.
  • It then reaches the windpipe/ trachea.
  • At the end, the trachea is divided into two to reach the lungs.
