Solution

The correct option is B II-S
Peptization is the process of converting a precipitate into colloidal sol by shaking it with dispersion medium in the presence of a small amount of electrolyte.

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a pressure-driven purification process that separates particulate matter from soluble compounds using an ultrafine membrane media. Ultrafiltration is an excellent separation technology for desalination pretreatment, reverse osmosis pretreatment, and wastewater reclamation, as well as for producing potable water.

In the process of electrolysis, there is an interchange of ions and atoms due to the addition or removal of electrons from the external circuit. Basically, on passing current, cations move to the cathode, take electrons from the cathode (given by the supply source battery), and is discharged into the neutral atom.

Bredig's arc method is applied to obtain colloidal sols of metals like gold, silver and platinum. An electric arc is stuck between the electrodes of the metal immersed in the dispersion medium. The intense heat produced vaporizes the metal, which then condenses to form particles of colloidal size.
