Sex ratio is a number of females per 1000 number of males.
Impacts on society if the sex ratio is too low or too high as follows:
i. High or Low sex ratio signifies the discrimination in the society regarding the gender of a person.
ii. Due to this, there will be an imbalance between the population of male and female which can lead to many problems like dominance and violence against a particular gender. If males will be more in number than female, they will dominant females .
iii. It will prevail in high inequality in the society and a particular gender will suffer.
iv) low sex ratio leads more child marriages.
v) High sex ratio implies equality between males and females. This means girls are more in number compared to boys, literacy among the females, no child marriages, no discrimination.
