Sexual maturity:
The process through which a child's body matures into an adult body capable of sexual reproduction and fertilization is known as sexual maturity or sexual development.
It is also known as puberty.
Girls begin puberty or sexual maturity at the age of 10-11, while boys begin at 13-14.
Puberty starts due to the release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) from the hypothalamus.
GnRH acts on the pituitary gland, releasing luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).
These hormones are responsible for the development of secondary sexual characteristics in girls and boys.
