Solution

The correct option is B Car 2
For Car 1,
Distance covered in 20 l = 400 km
In 1 litre of petrol, Car 1 can cover 40020=20km

For Car 2,
Distance covered in 5 l = 200 km
In 1 litre of petrol, Car 2 can cover 2005=40km

For Car 3,
Distance covered in 10 l = 300 km
In 1 litre of petrol, Car 3 can cover 30010=30km

For Car 4,
Distance covered in 25 l of petrol = 500 km
In 1 litre of petrol, Car 4 can cover 50025=20km

Since, Car 2 covers the maximum distance in 1 litre of petrol, Lokesh should buy Car 2.
