Explaining the euclid's axiom:

From the given figure,

$AB+BC+CD=AD$

$AD$ is a part of $AH$.

According to Euclid's axiom, “The whole is greater than the part.”

i.e., $AH>AD$

Hence, length $\mathbf{AH}\mathbf{}\mathbf{>}\mathbf{}$sum of lengths of $\mathbf{AB}\mathbf{}\mathbf{+}\mathbf{}\mathbf{BC}\mathbf{}\mathbf{+}\mathbf{}\mathbf{CD}$.
