The given image is of mitosis. The first diagram is the process of mitosis, where each chromosome makes an exact replica of itself and coils and also centriole divides. In early prophase, the centrioles start moving apart and nuclear membrane begins to degenerates. In late prophase, the divided centriole and asters are at opposite poles, and nuclear membrane almost degenerates.
Thus diagram A is before mitosis i.e of interphase and diagram B is of prophase.
