Make a report on Ganga action plan
The primary goal was to enhance water quality by intercepting, diverting, and treating home sewage, as well as preventing hazardous and industrial chemical wastes from polluting units from entering the river.
According to the latest available data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the water quality of the Ganga is still unfit for bathing and drinking along a significant portion of its 2,500-kilometer length, as it does not meet the permissible parameters for biochemical oxygen demand and total coliform.
