Manoj travels from Meerut to Delhi to buy goods which he gets 10 per cent cheaper in Delhi than in Meerut. If his journey expenses are Rs. 160 and he earns Rs 240 by selling goods at Meerut; calculate the price of the goods, he paid at Delhi

Lets C.P of goods in Meerut = Rs. x
Then C.P in Dehli = X10X100=XX10
Journey exp. =160 Rs
Net cost of goods to Manoj = XX10 +160
Given profit = Rs. 240
Then X(XX10+160)=240
X10=240+160=400
X=4000
Price of goods in Delhi = XX10=4000400010=4000400=3600Rs
