Manoj travels from Meerut to Delhi to buy goods which he gets $10$ per cent cheaper in Delhi than in Meerut. If his journey expenses are Rs. $160$ and he earns Rs $240$ by selling goods at Meerut; calculate the price of the goods, he paid at Delhi

Lets C.P of goods in Meerut $=$ Rs. $x$
Then C.P in Dehli $=$ $X-\frac{10X}{100}=X-\frac{X}{10}$
Journey exp. $=160$ Rs
Net cost of goods to Manoj $=$ $X-\frac{X}{10}$ $+160$
Given profit $=$ Rs. $240$
Then $X-(X-\frac{X}{10}+160)=240$
$\frac{X}{10}=240+160=400$
$X=4000$
Price of goods in Delhi $=$ $X-\frac{X}{10}=4000-\frac{4000}{10}=4000-400=3600$Rs
