Solution

The correct option is A Heparin and calcium ions
When the injury occurs a blood vessel starts bleeding, this bleeding is stopped by a process called as blood clotting or coagulation of blood. Blood has three main components :
  1. Red blood cells
  2. White blood cells
  3. Platelets
Platelets disintegrate at the site of injury and release a phospholipid called platelet factor-3 ( Platelet thromboplastin ) and lipoprotein ( Thromboplastin), they both combine with calcium ions to clot the blood.
Heparin is an antiprothrombin-anticoagulant in the presence of calcium ions, it does not clot the blood.
So, the correct option is ' Calcium ions and platelet factors'.
