RER stands for Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum. It is involved in protein synthesis and secretion. SER stands for Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum which is involved in lipid synthesis. Golgi complex lives in close association with ER and takes number of proteins synthesised by ribosomes on ER wich gets modified in golgi and moves outside the cell. Lysosomes involved in digestion of these materials .
