A. Cuboidal epithelium is a single layer of cube shaped cells with a centrally located nucleus. They are present in the lining of the pancreatic duct and also in the tubular parts of nephrons.
B.Ciliated epithelial cells have small, hair-like protrusions known as "cilia" that can either help the cells move along the tissue or can help debris and waste move along the surface of the cells. It is present in the inner lining of the fallopian tube and bronchioles.
C. Columnar epithelial cells are elongated and column-shaped. The nuclei are elongated and are usually located near the base of the cells. They are usually found in the lining of the stomach and intestine, where they facilitate secretion and absorption.
D. Squamous cells have the appearance of thin, flat plates with irregular boundaries. They are found in the inner lining of the blood vessels and pulmonary air sacs. They generally take part in diffusion boundary formation.
E.Keratinized squamous epithelium consists of layers of squamous epithelial cells. The apical layer of cells are dead and filled with the protein keratin and are found in the epidermis of skin.
