Rhizobium, lives in the symbiotic association with the roots of leguminous plants and helps in biological nitrogen fixation. It is a gram negative bacterium, i.e. it does not accept the Gram stain. They have thin walls that cannot be stained with gram stain.
Archaea are the most primitive prokaryotes, which can survive in extreme environmental conditions. This is possible due to difference in their cell wall structure. Methanogens which are methane generating, are found in marshy areas. Halophiles and thermoacidophiles are the other types of archaebacteria.
Paramecium, a protist has two types of nucleus. Micronucleus, which controls the reproductive activities while, the macronucleus that controls all the non-reproductive activities.
Spirillum, is a coil shaped bacterium. Bacteria are classified on the basis of their shape as rod shaped, spiral shaped and spherical shaped.
