Solution

People in North India and South India held same/similar positions but under different titles. In North India, the village headman was referred to as grama bhojaka, the largest landowner in the village, while landowners in South India were referred to as vellalar. Similarly, the slaves were termed kadaisiyar in the South and dasa karmakara in the North. The ordinary ploughmen, however, were called uzhavar in the South.
