Solution

Scrotum is a pouch outside the abdominal cavity, which contains the testes. Scrotum maintains a temperature lower than 2-2.5 degrees lower than the normal body temperature, to facilitate spermatogenesis.
Each testes is oval shaped structure with a dense and thick outer covering. Each testes has about 250 compartments called testicular lobules. Each lobule contains 1-3 highly coiled tubules called seminiferous tubules, in which the sperms are produced.
Each seminiferous tubule conssists of two types of cells lining its interior. 1. Spermatogonia or the male germ cells 2. Sertoli cells
Sertoli cells provide nutrition to the growing sperm.
Regions outside the seminiferous tubules are called interstitial spaces and contains leydig cells. Leydig cells secrete testicular hormones or androgens such as testosterone.
