Chloroplast is a type of a plastid, which produces green coloured pigment, called as chlorophyll. Chloroplast is involved in carrying out photosynthesis. It gives green colour to leaves.
Cell membrane is the outermost covering of most cells. It checks the molecules entering and leaving the cell by different mechanisms. It takes useful particles inside the cell by forming invaginations around them and taking them inside by the process of endocytosis. It also throws cellular waste by exocytosis. It allows passing of useful particles inside the cell through various transport molecules and structures. It does not allow entry for harmful particles.
The four main functions of the cell are protein synthesis, cell division, growth and differentiation are carried out by nucleus. Nucleus regulates all the cellular activities by controlling the enzymes required for cellular processes.
