Question

Measure the angle between the perpendicular bisectors of two lines segments each of length 10 cm which are perpendicular to each other.

Open in App
Solution

Given: Two perpendicular line segments each of length 10 cm. (say, L1 and L2)
To construct: Perpendicular bisectors of each of these line segments (say, P1 and P2 respectively).
To find: Angle between these bisectors.

From the construction done above, we can see that the angle between the bisector (marked in red) is 90⁰.

Hence we can say that, if line segments are perpendicular then their perpendicular bisectors will also be perpendicular.
