Solution

Given, that Meena is at step s.

Finding Beena's step:

Since Beena is 8 steps ahead of Meena,

Then the step at which Beena =(stepatwhichMeenais)+8

=(s+8)

Finding Reena's step:

Since Reena is 7 steps behind Meena,

Then the step at which Reena =(stepatwhichMeenais)-7

=(s-7)

Finding the total number of steps:

According to the question,

Total number of steps =4(stepatwhichMeenais)-10

=4s-10

Therefore, Beena is at step (s+8), Reena is at step (s-7), and the total number of steps is (4s-10).
